NOTE
The rider is responsible for
instructing the passenger how to get on
and off the vehicle safely.
The vehicle is equipped with special
passenger footrests for such purposes.
The passenger must always use the left
footrest to get on and off the vehicle.
N e v e r g e t o n o r o f f t h e v e h i c l e b y
stretching your legs down to the ground on
e i t h e r s i d e , b e c a u s e t h i s w o u l d
compromise the stability and balance of
the vehicle.
NOTE
Bags or objects strapped to the
rear of the vehicle can represent an
obstacle while getting on and off.
I n a n y c a s e , p e r f o r m a c o n t r o l l e d
movement of the right leg, which must
avoid striking and safely pass both the rear
part of the fairing and the luggage without
creating unbalance.
GETTING ON THE VEHICLE
Grip the handlebar firmly and get on the
u
vehicle without allowing your weight to
load the side stand.
NOTE
If it is impossible for you to place
both feet on the ground, place the right foot
on the ground (in case of unbalance, the
left side of the vehicle is prevented from
falling over by the side stand) and keep the
left foot ready to rest on the ground.
Place both feet on the ground and
u
straighten the vehicle into a riding
position while keeping it balanced.
NOTE
The rider must not attempt to
extend the passenger footrest while
seated astride the vehicle, because this
might compromise the stability and
balance of the vehicle.
Have the passenger extend the two
u
passenger footrests.
Instruct the passenger how to get on the
u
vehicle safely.
Kick the side stand back into stowed
u
position using your left foot.
GETTING OFF THE VEHICLE
Choose a suitable parking area.
u
Stop
the
vehicle,
see
u
(STOPPING).
Make sure that the parking surface is
free from obstacles, firm and flat.
With the left shoe heel, push the side
u
stand lever and extend it completely.
NOTE
If it is impossible for you to place
both feet on the ground, place the right foot
on the ground (in case of unbalance, the
left side of the vehicle is prevented from
falling over by the side stand) and keep the
left foot ready to rest on the ground.
Place both feet on the ground, keeping
u
the vehicle in balance in riding position.
Instruct the passenger how to get off the
u
vehicle safely.
Make sure the passenger has gotten
completely off the vehicle before the
rider attempts to get off. Never allow
your weight to load the side stand.
Incline the vehicle until the stand rests
u
on the ground.
Grasp the handlebar firmly and get off
u
the vehicle.
Rotate
the
u
leftwards (counter clockwise).
Retract the passenger footrests.
u
Make sure the vehicle is stable when
