c) Programmable Functions
Attention!
The remote control has already been adjusted and preset for the helicopter ex works for the first flight trials. The following descriptions of potential program-
ming actions only serve the purpose of control prior to the first flight and for adjusting the model to your personal flying preferences. We therefore urgently
recommend against changing any set values prior to the first flight.
Attention!
Some set values – e. g. the control/correction of the pitch values – are not to be performed in a ready-to-fly state because e. g. by means of actuating the
pitch function on the remote control, the motor would immediately start in any case. There is an acute risk of damages to property and/or injury to persons!
In order to carry out such settings without risk and without unnecessary programming, we recommend removing the three connection assemblies for the
motor/rotary speed controller. For this, you should code the respective contact pairs in advance with different colours in order to relocate the correct contact
pairs after a control/correction and as such, to attain the correct rotational direction of the motor.
Below, the programmable functions are described in the order they are accessed on the remote control by means of pressing the Mode button. We recom-
mend first reading the entire section before you start programming your remote control.
Attention!
All set values, mixers, and functionalities are only present and are only carried out properly providing the adjustment mechanisms on the receiver (servos,
gyro, etc.) are connected in a certain order.
Receiver slot
Selecting the memory slot
The current memory slot number will flash.
With the +/- rocker (Figure 3, Item 4) you change the memory slot number from 1 to 6.
All the following settings refer to the selected memory slot number.
Resetting data (RESET)
For each memory slot number, the settings can be separately reset to the factory setting.
For this, select the memory slot number as described in the previous section.
Then press the Select button (Figure 3, Item 7).
The display for the reset will appear.
Move the +/- rocker (Figure 3, Item 4) for approximately 2–3 seconds up or down. "CLR" will flash. After a few seconds, "CLR" will stop flashing
and a beep will be emitted.
Now all other values have been reset to the factory setting with the exception of the setting for the swashplate and the modulation.
Setting the Modulation Type
By pressing the Select button again (Figure 3, Item 7) and changing via the +/- rocker (Figure 3, Item 4), you can set the modulation type of the remote
control. PCM means PulsCodeModulation. With this modulation type, the remote control only works with the receiver installed in your helicopter.
PPM modulation means PulsPositionModulation. By changing the modulation type to PPM, you have the option of operating each 40 MHZ FM
PPM receiver and the corresponding channel of the receiver quartz with your remote control.
Setting the Model Name
By means of pressing the Select button again (Figure 3, Item 7), you access the sub-menu for changing the model name. The first letter flashes
and can be set with the +/- rocker (Figure 3, Item 4) to any of the alphanumerical characters displayed. You can use a total of 4 characters for a
model name. In order to change the characters 2–4, press the Select button again (Figure 3, Item 7).
