12.3 Protections
When you have a too strong current signal, it is possible to permanently damage the
instrument. To avoid that, the instrument enters a safe mode automatically: the low
impedance channel is converted to an high impedance to measure a voltage instead
of a current. At the same time, an acoustic and visible alarm is emitted
12.4 Storage
If the instrument is left unused for a long time, it is recommended to remove the
batteries.
Store the instrument in the original package, at a temperature from -30°C to +60°C,
with R.H. less than 90%.
If the instrument has been unused for a month check the battery voltage, and charge
the Ni-MH batteries for at least 12 hours.

12.5.1
If the unit is to be returned, it is preferable to use the original packaging and state as
clearly as possible, in a note attached to the unit, the reasons for its return.
Warning
The packaging supplied with the calibrator can withstand a maximum pressure of 20 bar at 21°C
(290 si at 70°F). Subjecting the package to a higher pressure risks damaging the unit.
