Calibrating a TC temperature transmitter
The following procedures will be used to calibrate and test temperature to mA
transmitter.
EXAMPLE: Transmitter has a TC type K input; 2-wire 4/20 mA output on 0 to 600°C
Switch the calibrator ON
Connect the instruments as in figure (the calibrator will supply the transmitter).
Set the CH2 in output mode and configure it for TC type K with internal Rj
compensation.

Select "Unit" and change the engineering unit to "°C"
•
Select "Parameter" and change it to "50 mA" F.S. input.
•
Select "In Low" and change it to "4" mA input.
•
Select "In High" and change it to "20" mA input.
•
Select "Disp Low" and change it to "0" °C display @ 4mA.
•
Select "Disp High" and change it to "600" °C display @ 20mA.
•
Select "Function" parameter and change it to "linear".
•
Select "Decimals" parameter and change it to "2" decimal digits.
Set the CH1 in input mode and configure it as XScale (e.g. X1).
Press the [ ] key until the "Process Function" option is highlighted:
