Overview of Pressure Control Features
The pressure cooking lid automatically seals for easy pressure cooking, but does
not lock into place when closed. The lid can be removed during Pre-heating but
locks into place once the cooker has pressurised.

DANGER
Do not attempt to remove the lid while the float valve is up.
CAUTION
Always check the lid for damage and excessive wear prior to cooking.
Use only the Instant Pot Duo Nova lid with the Instant Pot Duo Nova pressure
WARNING
cooker base. Using any other pressure cooker lids may cause injury and/or damage.
Quick Release Button
The quick release button controls the steam release valve, sealing and venting the
cooker as you desire.
