4.1.1 Accurate Measurement Way
1.Adopt a comfortable sitting position,
use back and arms to support the body.
2.Place your elbow on a table, the palm
faces up.
3.The cuff is level with your heart.
4.Feet flat on the floor, and do not cross
your legs.
Note
◼ Do not speak or move during measuring.
◼ Do not user mobile devices such as cellphone near the device when meas-
uring.
◼ Measurement results may be different due to different cuff position.
◼ Do not touch the device, cuff or extension tube during measuring.
◼ Refer to Section 1.1 for the contraindications of NIBP measurement.
◼ When measuring on pediatric or neonatal patients, be sure to select the
correct measurement mode (refer to the measurement mode setting) and
use specified cuff for pediatric or neonate. Using incorrect measurement
mode may cause danger to the patient, because the adult pressure level is
relatively high and is not suitable for pediatric or neonatal patients.
◼ In neonatal mode, the initial inflation value of cuff is 9.3kPa (70mmHg).
The cuff can be inflated to 20kPa (150mmHg), if the inflating value exceeds
this value, the device will reset and deflate automatically.
◼ The device has double overpressure protection for hardware and soft-
ware. If over-inflating occurs, the device will reset and deflate immedi-
ately. If the device keeps over-inflating status, please disconnect the cuff
from the device, and cut off the power or turn off the device.
◼ Please use the device under proper temperature and humidity (refer to
Specification), otherwise measured result may not accurate.
Note
Measure should be taken in a quiet place, and relax the body.
Remain still 4~5 minutes before measure.
Relax the body, do not let the muscle function.
Do not talk and move during the measure.
Wait 4~5 minutes when measuring in succession.
Do not use mobile equipment such as mobile telephone near the device.
4.2 Applying the Cuff and NIBP Measuring
Warning
Before starting a measurement, verify that you have selected a setting ap-
propriate for your patient (adult, pediatric or neonate). Do not apply the cuff
to a limb that has an intravenous infusion or catheter. This could cause tissue
