10.3. Klafs Evaporator EL2: Replacing the steam cylinder
7. Carefully lift the steam cylinder out of the
cylinder mount and remove it from the front.
Carefully put the steam cylinder down to avoid damaging the bottom of the connecting
piece.
Mounting the steam cylinder

Re-mount the steam cylinder in reverse order.
Always observe the following:

Before installing the steam cylinder, check the O-ring in the cylinder mount for
damage and replace if necessary.
d
Moisten the O-ring in the cylinder mount with water (do not use grease or oil),
then insert the steam cylinder into the cylinder mount and push it as far as it will
go.
d
Connect the electrode and sensor wires with the electrode or sensor terminals in
accordance with the colour coding (see table below).
d
Fasten the steam hose to the connecting piece of the steam cylinder with a hose
clamp.
A leaking steam hose can cause moisture damage inside the evaporator.

The outlet nozzle of the steam cylinder is made of plastic; do not fasten the hose
clamp on the connecting piece of the steam cylinder tightly.
