10.2. Information on servicing the Klafs Evaporator EL2
Caution!
All maintenance must only be carried out by designated qualified engineers.
Read all the information about, and follow all instructions on, maintenance.
Use original Klafs spare parts only.
Before carrying out maintenance, switch the Klafs Evaporator EL2 off, disconnect it from
the mains, shut off the water supply and make sure that it cannot be switched on
again.
Service the Klafs Evaporator EL2 at regular intervals to maintain operational reliability.

Service the steam cylinder after the yellow LED lights up.

Work to be carried out

Caution! Maintenance must only be carried
out by an electrician.
Check that the electrode plug is firmly seated
(remove the cover and tighten the fastening screw
with an Allen key).
Remove and replace.
Remove, clean and, if necessary, replace.
Check and, if necessary, clean.
Remove and clean filter, replace if necessary.
Check and, if necessary, clean (decalcify and
rinse).
Check the steam and condensate hoses for tears
and ensure that they are secured correctly.
Replace defective hoses.
Check the water hoses in the evaporator for tears
and ensure that they are secured correctly; replace
any defective hoses.
Check that the feed line is leak-tight, seal any
holes if necessary. Clean water filter, if installed.
Check that all wires are connected securely and
check the condition of the insulation.
Have an electrician replace any defective wiring.
