Description and settings
2.1. Front panel
Identification of parts
Display screen - parameters, settings, measurements.
2-line display.
Ventilation mode switch
This switch allows the unit to be made operational. It must
be switched to one of the 3 positions: VAC/ACMV 100% or
VAC/ACMV Air + O2 or VS-AI/PS.
To stop the unit, turn the switch to position 0.
PEEP setting
This knob allows the PEEP to be set, from 0 to 15 cmH
A safety device
must be released to give access to the
extended range of 10 to 15 cmH
Safety pressure setting (Pmax)
To make the adjustment:
• Close off the patient output.
• Read the maximum pressure reached in the patient circuit
(on the bargraph at the end and after inhalation).
• Adjust Pmaxi alarm threshold by turning knob
check concordance (to within 5 cm H
set with knob
(graduated) and the bargraph value.
Inhibit audible alarm button
The audible alarm can be inhibited for between 1 and 2 min-
utes by pressing on the

alarm inhibition.
Battery lamp
This green lamp flashes when OSIRIS 3 is operating nor-
mally, running on its internal battery pack.
• Short pulse flashing: indicates that OSIRIS 3 is working on
batteries.
• Steady flashing: indicates that the battery is charging
slowly.
• Constant light: indicates that the battery is charging rap-
idly.
• Indicator off: Charging complete (charge care).
Weak battery pack indicator (orange)
This lights up when the level of charge of the internal battery
pack has fallen to a point where autonomy of the OSIRIS 3 is
less than 60 minutes..
When this lamp lights up, it is advisable to connect directly
to the mains supply or to change the battery pack. Battery
recharging is necessary. To charge the battery, plug into the
mains supply for 3 hours, with OSIRIS 3 switched off.
Mains supply lamp (green)
This is lit when OSIRIS 3 is connected to a mains supply.
