4. Adjust:
S Skis
Adjustment steps:
S Temporarily install the handlebar.
S Hold the handlebar straight and check that
the skis are at right angles to the handlebar.
S Loosen the locknuts (relay rod) 1 .
S Position the skis parallel in the riding direc-
tion.
S With the skis in this position, turn the relay
rod 2 in either direction until the handlebars
at right angles with respect to the direction of
movement.

S Tighten the locknuts (relay rod) 1 .
Locknut (relay rod):
25 Nm (2.5 mSkg, 18 ftSlb)

5. Install:
S Handlebar
CAUTION:
S The upper handlebar holder should be
installed with the punch mark 1 forward.
S Align the punch marks 2 with the handle-
bar holder gaps respectively.
S Tighten the bolts to specification so that
the front clearance a is smaller than the
rear clearance b .
Bolt (handlebar holder):
15 Nm (1.5 mSkg, 11 ftSlb)
CAUTION:
First tighten the bolts on the front side of the
handlebar holder, and then tighten the bolts
on the rear side.
