• Check the readability of the product's marking during periodical
inspections.
Harnesses are products that cannot be repaired. Should a
harness show the least sign of damage, it must be destroyed.

• Do not:
1. Use the Faba HT harness without first having been
authorised, trained and recognised as qualified to use the
harness; otherwise, you should only use it under the
responsibility of a person who has been authorised, trained
and recognised to be qualified for use of the harness.
2. Use a Faba HT harness if any of the markings is no longer
present or legible.
3. Use a Faba HT harness if it has not been covered by the
required preliminary checks.
4. Use a Faba HT harness which has not been covered by a
periodic inspection within the past 12 months by a technician
qualified to authorise re-use of the harness in writing.
5. Use a Faba HT harness for any purpose other than for fall
protection of workers.
6. Use a Faba HT harness which has served to stop a fall.
7. Use a Faba HT harness which is not visibly in good condition.
8. Connect a fall arrest system to any location not marked with
an A.
9. Use a Faba HT harness for any other application other than
to protect workers against a fall from a height.
10. Expose a Faba HT harness to a source of direct heat or light.
11. Use a Faba HT harness outside the temperature range for
which it is designed, between -35°C and +60°C.
12. Place a Faba HT harness in contact with aggressive
chemical substances or abrasive or sharp surfaces.
13. Use a Faba HT harness without first having planned a
possible rescue procedure which can be carried out
efficiently and safely.
Service life of textile products
The textile components have a service life of 10 years as of the
date of manufacturing provided they are used normally in full
observance of the utilisation and maintenance recommendations
given in this manual.
Note: The belay equipment such as lanyards, wire ropes used
with self-retracting fall arresters, fall arrest rope rolls,
sliders and webbing rings are not covered by the
recommended service life given above ; these must be
checked prior to each use and must be destroyed if any
defects are observed.
