8. Roll the patient onto their back and they should
be approximately centered on the sling section
(FIGURE 3).
9. You are now ready to attach the sling to the chain
or strap.

Positioning the Standard Sling (WITH
Headrest) (FIGURES 4 and 5)
1. Open the snap buttons on the back of the sling
and insert the metal support into the opening on
each side and secure under the fabric with the
snap buttons (FIGURE 4).

NOTE: The metal support MUST be positioned in
the sling angled towards the patient's head for proper
support. The metal support can NOT be positioned
in the sling angled away from the patient's head. This
will permit his/her head to fall backwards.
