11.1.2
Exchanging the pump head and the diaphragms
Loosen the metering head screws (pos. 1) in three steps crosswise.
Loosen each screw by half a turn, then loosen them each by one turn in two steps in the
same order.
Unscrew screws (pos. 1)
Remove the pressing plate (pos. 2) and metering head (pos. 3).
Unscrew the diaphragm (pos. 4) and intermediate ring (Item 5) in an anticlockwise direction.
If they are stiff, press two metering head screws approximately 15 – 20 mm into the
intermediate ring in order to improve the grip (see Fig. 11.3 "!").
Remove diaphragm, intermediate ring and protective diaphragm (pos. 6).
Slide on a new protective diaphragm and press the intermediate ring against it.
Screw on a new delivery diaphragm in a clockwise direction and hand-tighten it, holding
the intermediate ring in such a way that the delivery diaphragm is pressed against the
intermediate ring with the thumbs.
Turn the intermediate ring clockwise so that the drain hole points downwards.
Place on a new metering head and pressing plate and insert metering head screws.
Tighten metering head screws crosswise. Tighten each screw in steps of one rotation;
end torque: 12 Nm.
Install the valves as described in chapter
NOTE
ATTENTION
Check the torque of the metering head screws after 24 hours!
