at different angles (between -90° and
+90°) as required. This allows you to
avoid intensive wear of the segment saw
blade at a certain edge area.
- Before sawing with HCS saw blades
in wood, chipboard, building materials
etc., check for foreign bodies such as
nails, screws etc.. Remove the foreign
bodies or use saw blades that are also
suitable for sawing steel (e.g. bi-metal
saw blades).
Only soft materials such as pine/spruce
wood, plasterboard or similar may be
processed using the plunge sawing
method.
Scraping (insert tool not included in
delivery)
To achieve good working results, the
scraper must be sharpened regularly.
Work on soft surfaces (e.g. wood) at a
shallow angle and with a low contact
point. The scraper may otherwise cut
into the substrate.
- Select a medium to high vibration fre-
quency for scraping.
Sanding
- Select a high vibration frequency for
sanding.
For correct sanding, follow the instruc-
tions below:
- Move the multi-tool parallel and flat
in circles or alternately in longitudinal
and transverse direction.
- The removal rate and sanding quality
are mainly determined by the choice
of sanding sheet (10), the preselected
vibration frequency level and the pres-
70
sure force.

- Press the multi-tool on gently and not
too hard.
Pressing down hard does not increase
the working performance.
- For sanding profiles and fillets, work
with the tip or one edge of the sand-
ing disc (9) alone.
When spot sanding, the sanding sheet
can heat up considerably. Reduce
the frequency of vibrations and the
contact pressure and let the sanding
sheet cool down at regular intervals.
- Do not use the multi-tool with liquid
polishes or abrasives.
- If only one corner is worn, offset the
sanding sheet by 120°.
6 – Cleaning and
maintenance
Danger of injury!
Accidental start-up of the multi-tool
can result in serious injury from the saw
blade.
- Disconnect the power plug from the
socket.
Risk of burning!
Some of the tools become hot during
operation and you may burn yourself.
- Always allow the tool to cool down
completely before cleaning.
