10 – Cleaning and
maintenance

After each use

Clean the ventilation slots with a dry
brush or compressed air.
Clean the housing of the device with
a damp cloth. Allow the housing to
dry fully. Do not use any aggressive or
abrasive cleaning materials.
Before you store the plane: Check all
parts of the electrical plane for perfect
operation. In the event of damages,
have the defect eliminated by authorised
specialist personnel.

After multiple operating hours

Wash the shavings collection bag in
warm soapy water to maintain the
air permeability. Allow the shavings
collection bag to dry fully.

Store all parts along with the original
packaging in a dry place:
• Electrical plane
• All accessories
• Replacement drive belts
• Operating instructions

Changing the blades

Change the blades or reuse?
1) See section on obtaining replacement
blades.
The blades have dual cutting
edges and can be used
twice.
If the blades are intact but the edges are
blunt, remove the blades and replace
them the other way round.
If the blades are damaged, replace the
blades.
1) Acquiring replacement blades
The following blades are suitable for the
electrical plane and are available from
Meister customer services:

Quantity: set with 2 blades
Changing the blades
In order to obtain clean
results: Always change or
rotate both blades.
Driven moving parts. Risk of injury if
switched on unintentionally. Separate
the device from the power supply.
