Operating conditions
S Protect the ITC-U1001 connector against direct con
tact with water, moisture and weather conditions such
as rain and snow.
S Also protect the voltage measuring lead cable and
connector against direct sunlight.
S Comply with the ambient conditions stated in the
specifications, such as the allowable temperature,
relative humidity, altitude and degree of pollution.
S Operate the ITC-U1001 only within the measurement
categories stated in the specifications.
S If the ITC-U1001 is operated outside the measure
ment category ratings specified in EN 61010–1:2010
(not connected to the supply network, formerly
CAT I), an analysis of the working voltage, loop
impedance, occasional overvoltage and the transient
overvoltages of the (potential) circuit to be contacted
is required. The voltage measuring lead can only be
used after the analysis data has been compared with
the maximum allowable values specified in the ITC-
U1001 data sheet.
S The ITC-U1001 must not be modified in terms of
design or safety engineering except with our express
agreement.
S Do not operate the ITC-U1001 if it is visibly or audibly
damaged.
S In accordance with national and local environmental
protection and material recovery and recycling regula
tions, old voltage measuring leads that can no longer
be used must be disposed of separately and not with
normal household garbage.
