tions must establish safe operating conditions.
1.6
Qualified personnel
Qualified persons means persons entrusted with the in
stallation, fitting, commissioning and operation of the
product who possess the appropriate qualifications for
their function.
For measurements covered by the low-voltage directive,
the ITC-U1001 must only be connected by an electrically
qualified person, or by an electrically trained person
under the supervision of an electrically qualified person.
(An electrically qualified person is someone whose
technical training, know-how and experience, as well as
knowledge of the relevant requirements, allows them to
assess the work assigned to them and to recognize po
tential risks, and who has been designated an electrically
qualified person by the contractor).

General dangers of failing to follow
the safety instructions
The ITC-U1001 voltage measuring lead is a state-of-the-
art unit and as such is failsafe. The voltage measuring
lead may give rise to residual dangers if it is improperly
installed or operated.
