Problem
Steam escapes from the
edge of the lid.
Lots of steam escapes
from the pressure control.
Steam escapes from the
safety valve during cook-
ing.

despite an already risen
pressure indicator.
The cooker can only be
closed using force, or the
locking device does not
click backwards into place
when closing.
Cooker cannot be opened. Cooker is still under pressure.

Possible cause
Sealing ring is dirty, damaged or not
properly installed.
The cooker is not properly closed.
Hob is too hot.
The cap nut on the bottom of the lid
is loose.
Wrong setting on the pressure
control.
Operation of the pressure control
has been affected.
Sealing ring defect.
The sealing ring has been activated
as a safety mechanism.
Sealing ring not properly installed.
Loose screws on the lid or cooker.
The locking device (9) on the lid is
already locked.
Solution
Check the sealing ring.
Close the cooker properly.
Select a smaller setting on your hob.
Tighten the nut. Also check the sealing
ring.
Move the pressure control further to the
MAX setting.
Stop cooking. Clean the pressure
control. Check the bottom of the lid for
foreign objects.
Replace the sealing ring.
Clean and check the pressure control
and the safety valve.
Check the sealing ring.
Check the screws.
Turn the lid upside down and unlock
the mechanism on the bottom of the
handle.
Release the pressure from the cooker.
