Installation position of the left spreader
●
The center of the forked secton at the top of
left spreader 1 s algned wth the center of the
looper thread hole n the left looper.
Loosen setscrew 2 n the spreader stopper
and adjust the poston of spreader stopper 3 .
Then fix the spreader in place. (Make the same
adjustment for both left/rght spreaders.)
When the top end of the left spreader in
terms of the left looper protrudes, stitch
skipping will result.
Installation position of the right spreader

The rdge lne (on the needle sde) on rght
spreader 4 s algned wth the rdge lne (on the
needle sde) on the rght looper.
Timing to open/close the spreaders

Adjust so that the spreaders open/close
equally on the left and right without interfering
with the needle. When the stitch bite width
is excessively small and eyelet stitches are
irregular, adjust the timing to X2 < X1.
Make sure of the width or the timing when
the stitch bite width is changed or after
performing the looper timing adjustment.
Loosen setscrews 6 n spreader drvng shaft gude
5 and move the gude up and down to make the
adjustment. Then fix the guide.
As the spreader driving shaft guide moves
upward, the opening amount of the right
spreader will be greater than that of the left
spreader. (X1 > X2)
