DANGER! Danger to life!
A fatal shock may occur if the electrical connection is not made
correctly.
• Only allow the electrical connection to be made by an electrician
approved by the local electricity supplier and in accordance with
the local regulations in force.
• Observe the installation and operating instructions for the acces-
sories!
DANGER! Danger to life!
Contact voltage hazardous to human life
Work on the module may only be begun after 5 minutes have gone
by, due to the still-existing hazardous contact voltage (capacitors).
• Before working on the pump, disconnect the supply voltage and
wait for 5 minutes.
• Check whether all connections (also potential-free contacts) are
voltage-free.
WARNING! Danger of mains overload!
An inadequate mains design can lead to system failures and can
lead to cable fires due to mains overload.
• When designing the mains, with regard to the used cable cross-
sections and fuses, give special consideration to the fact that, in
multi-pump operation, short-term simultaneous operation of all
pumps is possible.
• The electrical connection must be established via a fixed power cable
(cross-section to be maintained min. 4 x 2.5 mm
which is supplied with a plug device or an all-pole switch with a con-
tact opening of at least 3 mm. The power cable is to be fed through
the threaded cable connection (Fig. 18 Item 1) M 25.
• In order to comply with electromagnetic compatibility standards,
the following cables have to be shielded:
• DDG (if installed onsite)
1
• In2 (setpoint)
• DP communication (for cable lengths > 1 m); ("MP" terminal)
Pay attention to polarity:
MA = L => SL = L
MA = H => SL = H
• Ext. off
• aux
The shield has to be applied to both sides; on the electromagnetic
compatibility threaded cable connection at the module (Fig. 19) and
on the other end. The lines for SBM and SSM do not have to be
shielded
• In order to ensure drip protection and the strain relief on the threaded
cable connection, cables are to be used which have a sufficient outer
diameter and are to be screwed sufficiently tightly. Also, the cables
near the threaded cable connection are to be bent to form a drainage
loop, to drain any accumulated drips. Non-allocated threaded cable
connections must remain sealed with the plugs provided by the
manufacturer.
