Only have faults remedied by qualified personnel! Observe the
safety instructions under 10 Maintenance.
• If the operating fault cannot be remedied, consult qualified per-
sonnel or the nearest after-sales service or representative office.
For faults, their causes and remedies, see the "Fault/warning mes-
sage" flow diagram and the following tables. The first column of
the table lists the code numbers which are displayed in the event of
a fault.
NOTE
If the cause of the fault no longer exists, some faults displays disap-
pear on their own.
The following types of errors can occur with differing priorities
(1 = low priority; 6 = highest priority):

Permanent error
B
Permanent error in the 6th occurrence
C
Warning,
after 5 min changes to an error
Permanent error in the 6th occurrence
D
Like error type A, but error type A has a higher
priority than error type D

Emergency operation: Warning with emer-
gency operation speed and activated SSM

Possible cause
Fuses faulty
Stop valve on the pressure side throt-
tled
Air in the suction line
Insufficient supply pressure
Motor has bearing damage
Remedy
Tighten all terminal screws
Check fuses; replace defective fuses
Slowly open the stop valve
Seal leaks in at the flanges; bleed
Increase supply pressure, observe mini-
mum pressure at the suction port, check
slide valve and filter on the suction side
and clean if needed
Have the pump checked by Salmson
after-sales service or a specialised service
centre and repaired if necessary
