First use
Operational check
Carry out an operational check. Check that the door can
open and close freely.
Check that all protective covers have been fitted.
Unlocking/locking
Check that setting and adjust if necessary.
Cable-type locking mechanism
Lightly prestress the cable. There should be no play on the
handle.
Once you have fitted the door, take the film covering off the
door leaf. (see ill. 38).
Operation
CAUTION: Failure to take due care when operat-
ing the Side Sectional Door can lead to personal
injury or damage to property.
Observe basic safety rules:
When opening and closing the door, please ensure that the
operational area of the door or doors are not obstructed.
Keep children away from the door.
Always use the handles when opening or closing the door by
hand.
When opening the door, push the leaf as far as it will go and
wait for it to come to a stop. When closing the door, allow
the lock mechanisms to engage fully.
Do not operate the Side Sectional Door if any of the safety
equipment is missing or faulty.
lock mechanism:
Always unlock the door before opening. Unlock the door by
turning the key to the left or turning the catch to the right.
Constant opening of door possible. Lock the door by turning
the key to the left or by turning the catch to the left.
Troubleshooting
If the door becomes sluggish, clean and lubricate moving
parts and check lock mechanisms.
Only use the door if it is fully operational. Rectify faults
immediately or contact Customer Service.
Maintenance
Check that all door fixtures are secure every six months and
replace if necessary.
Lubricate the lock cylinder every six months using graphite
powder only.
Clean the floor rail every six months.
Clean the garage door regularly. Do not use corrosive, thin-
ning or abrasive cleaning agents.
Clean and lightly lubricate moving parts every six months.
Make sure that the running surfaces of wheels are kept free
from dirt, oil, grease and foreign bodies. Foreign bodies or
oils must not be allowed to penetrate the lock.
Clean all seals every six months and treat with a care product.

Installing a Door Drive
When installing an electric drive for the garage door, the clos-
ing forces permitted by law may not be exceeded.
This is guaranteed if the MAGIC 600 or MAGIC 1000 door
drives are installed.
Protection of the Environment
All the materials used for packaging and for the garage door
can be recycled.
Please dispose of any waste material in accordance with the
disposal legislation pertinent to your country.

The door is dismantled by reversing the installation
procedure.
