Unacceptable activities when operating a door:
- Driving or walking though a moving door.
- Lifting or pushing objects and / or people with the door.
Particular care should be exercised when operating the door
manually in windy or stormy conditions. There is a danger
that the strength of the wind will endanger safe movement of
the door panel.
A latched and locked door can be unlocked and opened
from the inside by releasing the catch and then pushing the
locking handle.
Safety Instructions for Installation
CAUTION: Have the door installed by trained
specialist personnel and by at least 2 people.
The load-bearing strength and suitability of the support struc-
ture of the building in which the door is to be installed, must
be checked by competent personnel and confirmed.
The door must be attached reliably and in full at all the fixing
points. Ceiling suspension points must be provided with two
screws per fixing point. The fixing materials must be selected
to suit the nature of the supporting structure so that each
of the fixing points can withstand a minimum tensile force of
800 N.
If these requirements are not fulfilled, there is a risk of per-
sonal injury and damage to property from a door dropping
down or opening in an uncontrolled manner.
When drilling fixing holes, please ensure that there are no
services, ie. electric cables, water pipes etc within the drilling
area.
Prop securely any unfixed door safely.
Comply with the relevant health and safety regulations.
Keep children out of the way during installation.
Risk of injury from sharp edges! Wear gloves.
Safety equipment on the door
CAUTION: The garage door is fitted with the fol-
lowing safety equipment. This equipment must not
be removed or its function impaired.
Hinge covers to prevent crushing.
Locking handle (handle to unlock and open the door from
inside)
Lever for unlocking the lock (to unlock the lock manually
from inside)
Storage
Prior to installation, the door must be stored in a covered,
dry location.
Preparation for Installation
The door aperture and the garage floor must be straight both
vertically and horizontally.
Only install door in dry garages.
NOTE: Only have painting undertaken by trained
specialist personnel, taking account of the infor-
mation in the section on technical data and the
regulations on the protection of the environment.

Protection of the Surface
Be careful when masking off painted surfaces. Adhesive tape
can damage the paint.
Place door elements on a suitable layer of material (card-
board etc.) to protect the surface.
Protect painted surfaces and door skin from dirt, especially
from mortar and splashes of lime.
Treat wooden finishes with standard commercial wood pro-
tection products or varnish to provide the panels with long-
lasting protection. To avoid the wood becoming distorted,
apply paint to the inside and outside of the door at the same
time. Only paint dry wood.
