c) Inserting batteries into the IR remote control / replacing the batteries
• The IR remote control requires a CR2025 battery.
The battery may already be inserted into the remote control. If there is a small plastic strip in the battery
compartment, pull it out (the plastic strip prevents the battery from discharging). The IR remote control is
now ready for use.
• Before inserting a battery, unlock the small clip on the battery compartment (e.g. with a flat-head screwdriver), and
then remove the battery holder.
• Ensure that the battery is inserted in the correct polarity (observe the plus/+ and minus/- symbols). The positive pole
is marked with the "+" symbol and must be inserted face down into the remote control.
• Insert the battery holder back into the remote control. Ensure that it is inserted in the correct orientation; do not
attempt to force it into place!
• Dispose of the old, empty battery in an environmentally-friendly manner (see "Disposal").
• Replace the battery if the range of the remote control drops, or if the monitor/DVR does not respond to the remote
control.
