9. Setup

a) Monitor/DVR
• Remove the protective film from the touchscreen (if applicable).
• The monitor/DVR can be secured to a wall via the two screw holes (7). Use screws and, depending on the surface,
dowels to secure the monitor/DVR in place.
Ensure that you do not damage cables or wires when drilling holes or tightening screws.
Alternatively, you can fold out the stand on the back of the monitor/DVR and stand it on a suitable surface. Protect
valuable furniture with a suitable pad or cloth to prevent scratches, pressure marks and discolouration.
• Secure the longer antenna to the top of the monitor/DVR. After it has been attached, the antenna can be tilted and
adjusted to improve reception.
• The HDMI socket (12) can be connected to an HDMI port on a monitor or TV using a suitable cable. This allows you
to view the camera image on a large screen.
• The monitor/DVR features an SD card slot (2) and a USB port (9) for saving video recordings.
The SD card supports SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards (not included, available separately, max. 128 GB). Insert the
card into the slot (2) in the correct orientation. The USB port is designed to connect a USB stick or a USB hard drive
(not included, available separately).
The storage device should be empty (or there should enough storage space available). The monitor/DVR
only supports the FAT/FAT32 file system (NTFS is not supported). You are therefore recommended to for-
mat the storage device before saving a recording. Formatting the storage device will delete all stored data.
SD cards must be Class 4 or above. Class 4 memory cards allow write speeds of at least 4 MByte/s, which
is required for video recordings. Ensure that write protection is disabled.
Do not change the storage device when the monitor/DVR is recording or playing video, as this may damage
the file system on the storage device and result in the loss of data.
• If you wish to access recordings on an iOS or Android device, connect the RJ45 socket (11) on the monitor/DVR to
your router using a 1:1 network cable
• The product comes with two mains adapters. Use the mains adapter with a 2 A output to power the monitor/DVR.
Connect the power-in plug on the mains adapter to the corresponding socket (10) on the monitor/DVR.
• Plug the power adapter into a standard mains socket connected to the public grid. The power LED (4) beneath the
touchscreen will turn on.
