12. "System" submenu

a) "Network" function
Use a 1:1 network cable to connect the RJ45 socket on the monitor/DVR to your router or a network switch. Use the
enclosed network cable or another cable with the same specifications.
If possible, connect the monitor/DVR directly to the router. Multiple network switches between the monitor/
DVR and router can cause interference.
By default, the monitor/DVR is configured to use DHCP. If there is a DHCP server on your network (most routers
feature a built-in DHCP server) and this is enabled, each device will automatically obtain an IP address. If you wish to
use static IP addresses, you will need to assign an IP address to the monitor/DVR.
You can configure the settings using the touchscreen or the arrow buttons "

" button (28) on the IR remote control.
Refer to section 17 for more information on using the product with an Android device, or section 18 for iOS
devices.
Configure the network connection settings (e.g. static or dynamic IP address) and
view network information
Set the date and time
Select the language for the main menu
Choose whether to overwrite existing recordings when the storage device (SD card
or USB stick) is full
Format the SD card or USB storage device
Select which storage device (SD card or USB storage device) to use for video
recordings
Display additional symbols for signal strength, SD/USB status, short description/
channel number of the wireless camera (C1....C4), network status
Display system information (e.g. firmware version)
Install new firmware for the monitor/DVR or wireless cameras
Configure how long each camera image is displayed for.
Mute/unmute the monitor/DVR speaker
Restore factory settings
Set the screen brightness
Adjust the volume
Sett the alarm volume
Configure power saving modes
View software (e.g. GPL)
