Cleaning and disinfection
disinfecting this device.
As decontamination levels are linked to the products, methods and/or tools used,
decontamination is the sole responsibility of the staff concerned.
6.2 Cleaning
6.2.1 Warnings
Only the camera head is concerned by the manual cleaning procedure described hereinafter.
6.2.2 Materials and conditions
• pH-neutral (pH 6.0 to 8.0)
• Cidezyme 0.8% enzymatic detergent solution or equivalent diluted to the appropriate
concentration according the manufacturer's instructions.
• Brush
• Temperature: 20 °C ± 2 °C (60 °F ± 3 °F)
• Distilled or demineralized water
• Protective gloves, clothing, and a face mask

6.2.3 Steps to follow

Pre-cleaning:
1. Place the device in containers and let soak, at least for 4 minutes, in the enzymatic
detergent solution, taking care to comply with the conditions described above, immediately
after use to prevent blood, protein, and other contaminants from drying onto the devices.
Leave to temperature for a maximum of 60 minutes.
Caution : Do not soak the device in any solution (including water) for longer than 60 minutes.
2. Wipe the device carefully using a disposable lint-free cloth, preferably moistened with an
enzymatic cleaning solution.
Caution: Do not use alcohol for wipe-down of the device. Do not use pushing and pulling
movements to avoid damage.
Cleaning:
1. Immerse the device in cold tap water for 5 minutes and actuate.
2. Brush the outside of the device under cold running tap water for 20 seconds.
3. Actuate the device and soak it in the enzymatic detergent solution for 4 minutes.
