Programming (Testing)
After Quick Start Commissioning has been completed, ensure power is still applied to the operator when completing
the Entrapment Protection Device
Test all Entrapment Protection Devices
It is the responsibility of the specifier, purchaser, installer, and
property owner to ensure that, on completion, the installation of
the entrapment protection devices comply with all relevant federal,
state, and local codes and regulations.
1.
Test the Monitored Light Curtain (if applicable)
With the door in the full open position, press the close
button.
2.
While the door is closing, obstruct any of the light beams on
the Monitored Light Curtain (the green LED on the Monitored
Light Curtain Receiver will blink when the light beam is obstructed). The door should stop and reverse.
TEST THE PHOTOELECTRIC SENSORS (IF APPLICABLE)
Open the door.
1.
Place an obstruction in the path of the photoelectric sensors. The LMEP LED will blink on the logic board.
2.
Press and hold the CLOSE button. The door should not close.
3.
Remove the obstruction.
4.
Press and hold the CLOSE button. Door should close. If the LMEP is activated while closing, the door should
reverse.
NOTE: Operator will remain in C2 setting if photoelectric sensors CPS-RPEN4 and CPS-OPEN4 are not properly aligned.
NOTE: For CPS-OPEN4, if obstruction is present, code F42 (edge missing) will display.
TEST THE EDGE SENSORS (IF APPLICABLE)
Open the door
1.
Place an obstruction in the path of the door.
2.
Press and release the CLOSE button. The door should stop and/or reverse.*
3.
Remove the obstruction. Press and release the CLOSE button. The door should fully close.
NOTE: LCD Wall Control may display F11 (DOWN FORCE) or F42/F45/F48 (EYE/EDGE MISSING).
NOTE: Some edge sensors will display F42 (EDGE MISSING) when blocked. This is as designed.
Test Wall Controller Menu Access
Press OPEN button. (The door should move in the open direction.)
1.
Press STOP button. (The door should stop.)
2.
Press and hold the CLOSE button. (The door should move in the close direction.)
3.
Release CLOSE button. Door should stop if in C2 or D1 mode. Door will reverse to full open position in E2 mode.
The door should continue closing in all other modes.
4.
Press STOP button. (The door should stop.)
Test Limit Adjustment
Press OPEN button. (The door should open.)
1.
Allow the door to fully open.
2.
Press and hold the CLOSE button. (The door should close.)
3.
Allow the door to fully close.
4.
If the limits are not set properly, remove power and adjust limits (see "Set Limits" section).
NOTE: Door travel should stop when the OPEN or CLOSE limits are reached. If door drifting is occurring, spring tension
on the door.
Manual Commissioning Program Flow
IMPORTANT: All entrapment protection devices will be disabled during the manual commissioning steps.
All menu options under "System Settings" are passcode protected
testing.
To avoid SERIOUS personal INJURY or
DEATH:
•
Disconnect electric power BEFORE
performing ANY adjustments or
maintenance.
•
ALL maintenance MUST be performed
by an Authorized Service Technician.
