Overview of the TCU manual operating device (Touch Control Unit)
The manual operating device has been assigned to protection class IP54, i.e. it is protected against
damaging quantities of dust as well as against spray water independent of the direction of spray.
In line with this classification, it is permitted to occasionally and carefully use the manual operating
device outdoors. The manual operating device may not be exposed to any accumulated water, e.g.
after prolonged periods of rain. Furthermore, it should not be permanently exposed to direct sunlight,
as, if strong enough, this can cause the plastic to fade and the adhesives to soften.
To prevent the manual operating device from being unintentionally dropped or falling, a key cord is
supplied - please use this accordingly.

The TCU manual operating device magnetically locks into the wall bracket provided and gets charged
whilst inside. It also establishes a data link to the levelling system mainboard through a wire.
The above-mentioned USB-C-port is mainly used for data transmission (updates), but can also be
used to charge the manual operating device, e.g. if you do not want to leave your TCU in your vehicle.
