Remove the knob (5) that secures the lifting arm of the brush, by turning it counterclockwise.
7.
Remove the lifting arm (6) and the left side casing (7) of the brush.
8.
Remove the brush from the tunnel and replace it with the new one.
9.
Repeat the operations in reverse to reassemble.
WARNING: The brush must have the cusp facing towards the front of the machine to
be fitted in the correct manner.
42. SIDE BRUSH REPLACEMENT
If the side brush is worn, it can no longer push the side dirt towards the centre of the machine, it is
recommended that it be replaced, and to do this proceed as follows:
1.
Make sure the electric brake is engaged, otherwise engage it using the lever located at the left
rear of the machine (working direction).
2.
Check the main switch (1) is in the "0" position, if this is not the case, turn the key by a quarter of
a turn to the left, and remove the key from the instrument panel.
3.
Check that the side brush is lifted from the ground, otherwise turn the lever (2) clockwise.
WARNING: you are advised to always wear protective gloves, to avoid the risk of
serious injury to your hands.
4.
Remove knob (3) fixing the side brush to the gearmotor by rotate clockwise for the right brush
and counterclockwise for the left brush.
5.
Remove the side brush locking washer (4).
6.
Remove the brush and replace it with the new one.
7.
Repeat the operations in reverse to reassemble.
