• In systems built according to the state of the art, it can be assumed under normal sys-
tem conditions that the standard seal/standard mechanical seal is compatible with the
fluid.
Special circumstances may require special seals, for example:
–
solids, oils or EPDM-attacking substances in the fluid,
–
air content in the system, etc.
NOTICE
The flow value shown on the IR Stick's display or that is output to the
building management system must not be used to control the pump.
This value is merely an indicator of general trends.
A flow value is not output on every pump type.
Always observe the safety data sheet for the fluid to be pumped!

NOTICE
IF modules may only be plugged in when the pump is de-energised
(voltage-free).
The Wilo-Stratos GIGA high-efficiency pumps are glanded pumps with built-in power ad-
justment and "Electronic Commutated Motor" (ECM) technology. The pumps are designed
as single-stage low-pressure centrifugal pumps with flange connection and mechanical
seal.
Stratos GIGA/Stratos GIGA-D version
The pump housing has an in-line design, i.e. the flanges on the suction and discharge sides
lie along a centre line. All pump housings are equipped with cast-on pump feet. Installation
on a base is recommended for units with a rated power of ≥ 5.5 kW and above.
NOTICE
Blind flanges (accessories) are available for all pump types/housing sizes
from the Stratos GIGA-D series. This means a motor impeller unit can al-
ways be replaced in twin-head pump housing. A drive can therefore re-
main in operation.
