G. Dirty or damaged nozzle
1. Follow the same procedure previously described in the "Dirty or damaged nozzle" section
H. Dirty fuel filter
The filtering element is contained inside the aluminium cup of the fuel filter.
1. Remove the aluminium cup of the fuel filter from the rest of the aluminium body by unscrewing it
2. Remove the filtering element from the cup
3. Inspect the filtering element and the inside of the cup to search for any water or dirt
4. Rinse the cup using clean fuel
5. Clean the filtering element using clean fuel
6. If the meshes on the filtering element are damaged, replace them
Observed problem: The heater ignites, the flame is present, but the heater turns
off
Possible causes if the heater turns off a few seconds after ignition
A. Dirty or defective photocell
B. Cable or photocell connection interrupted
C. Defective flame control equipment
Possible causes if the heater shuts off after several minutes of operation
D. Safety thermostat is defective or is not positioned correctly
E. Incorrect pump pressure
F. Dirty fuel filter
G. Dirty photocell
Repair procedure
A. Dirty or defective photocell
1. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power supply.
2. Remove the upper movable mantle
3. Remove the photocell and make sure that the glass is not dirty. If dirty, clean it and restart the
machine
4. If the heater still has the same defect, remove the photocell and using an ohmmeter measure the
resistance between the two poles of the photocell. In a room with average light, if the photocell is
not broken, the instrument should give a measurement around 36 KIn a room that is
completely dark, or if the photocell is defective, the instrument returns a resistance value in the
range of a few M
B. Cable or photocell connection interrupted
1. Check all connections of the photocell cable
2. If all connections are in place, check the integrity of the photocell cable and proceed as in point 4 of
the previous section, with the cable connected to the photocell
C. Defective flame control equipment
1. Disconnect the heater from the electrical power supply
2. Remove the control panel
3. Loosen the screw that fastens the flame control equipment and release it from the plastic body
4. Replace it with new or used equipment, as long as it is functioning
5. If the heater works correctly, it means the flame control was defective
