Cleaning the uptake needle
Switch off the instrument before cleaning the uptake needle. Clean the uptake needle of the robotic needle
arm regularly to prevent contamination or clogging. Wipe the needle with tissue and an appropriate
disinfectant, e.g. 70% ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, or 10% bleach. Finally, rinse with distilled water. Move the
robotic needle arm up and down to access the entire surface. Calibrate the robotic needle arm afterwards.

Exchanging the uptake needle
Before exchanging the uptake needle, make sure that the needle is in its home position, i.e. the needle is
hidden in the needle arm.

1 Switch off the instrument.
2 Remove the needle holder from the needle arm. Make sure not to bend the needle too far to the front.
