Cleaning the cooktop
Burner heads
The aluminium burner heads will lose their original shine through use
and discolouration. The aluminium burner heads can be cleaned using
a scrubber sponge.
Flame tamers
The brass flame tamers will discolour with normal use. The flame
tamers can be cleaned using a scrubber sponge.
Grates and burner caps
Remove burner lids before use. The cast iron grates and burner caps
can also lightly discolour after use. You can clean them using a brush
and soapy water with mild soap. After cleaning, carefully dry the cast-
iron parts to prevent them from rusting. You can treat the cast-iron
parts with oil occasionally if needed.
Drip catcher
The drip catcher should not be polished. You clean it using soapy water
with mild soap and a rag. Avoid the excessive use of water around the
white spark igniter on the gas burners. Remove leftover food and water
as soon as possible to prevent cooked-on starches.
Note
The individual parts of the cooker may never go in the dishwasher.
