the head or mast of davitrac.

There are 5 base models:
• Floor-standing base
• Surface-mounted base
• Offset wall base
• Built-in floor base
• Self-stabilising base
NOTE: The self-stabilising base may only be
used if the ground is in good condition, stable and non-
slipping, such as concrete, bitumen, etc. It must be
horizontal and level.
4.2. Description of systems compatible
with davitrac
Before using davitrac, the operator must have and
review the operating manuals of davitrac and each
associated accessory.
4.2.1. blocfor™ R fall arrest device
Not covered by CE PPE EN 795:2012. In accordance
with CE PPE standards EN 360 and EN 1496.
It is supplied with its bracket and instructions, and is
fastened to the davitrac mast. blocfor™ R is a self-
retracting fall arrest device with a rescue lifting system.
In the event of a fall, the operator is stopped by a safety
ratchet mechanism. blocfor™ R devices are equipped
with a manual hoist to allow the rescuer to raise or lower
the fallen operator.
blocfor™ R devices are not suitable for handling and
securing loads.

4.2.2. caRol™ R hoist rescue lifting device
Not covered by CE PPE EN 795:2012. In accordance
with standard EN 1496.
Supplied with its bracket and instructions. The caRol™
R 250 manual drum hoist is used for rescue lifting of
personnel. With its two independent braking systems,
it offers high operating safety. A bracket is provided to
fasten the 20-metre caRol™ R 250 hoist and the 30-metre
caRol™ R 250 hoist to the davitrac mast at the rear (fig. 4).
caRol™ R 250 devices are also suitable for handling
and securing loads of up to 250 kg max. SWL according
to the Machinery Directive.
NOTE: The caRol™ R hoist may not be used
alone to lower or raise an operator, other than when it
is used as a rescue lifting device (standard EN 1496).

4.2.3. caRol™ TS and caRol™ MO hoist load
lifting devices
Not covered by CE PPE EN 795:2012. In accordance
with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
They are supplied with their brackets and instructions.
caRol™ TS and caRol™ MO manual drum hoists
are used for lifting loads. With their two independent
braking systems, they offer high operating safety.
caRol™ TS and caRol™ MO hoists are to be attached
to the davitrac mast at the rear.
caRol™ TS is a manual hoist, while caRol™ MO is an
electric hoist.
NOTE: caRol™ TS and caRol™ MO hoists may
not be used alone to lower or raise an operator.
• Unless the operator is protected by a fall arrest
device,
caRol™ TS and caRol™ MO hoists are suitable
for handling and securing loads depending on their
capacity with an SWL of up to 500 kg.
IMPORTANT: before beginning to use caRol™ MO,
check that the travel limit has been set correctly. The
cable at the travel limit must not be less than 500mm
below the anchoring head of davitrac.
4.2.4. scafor™ R hoist rescue lifting device
Not covered by CE PPE EN 795:2012. In accordance
with standard EN 1496 and Machinery Directive
2006/42/CE.
Supplied with its bracket and instructions. The scafor™
R hoist with feed-through cable may be used to lift an
