It is recommended that an 1/8 of a turn is
made alternatively to each adjuster, checking
frequently with the paper until the correct
setting is obtained.

Re-tighten clamp pin locknuts (F) securely.
Re-check the setting again with paper.
NOTE:
The cutting cylinder settings should be
checked every 4 working hours. If after adjusting
correctly, the paper is still not cut cleanly, then the
cutting cylinders and bottom blade should be
backlapped. Backlapping should be carried out to
restore the keen cutting edges of the bottom blade
and cutting cylinder. (See instructions for
backlapping on page 58).

Deflector guards (G) are fitted to the cutting units to
prevent grass cuttings from getting into the engine
and also to prevent grass cuttings from showering
the operator. In wet conditions they should be
removed to improve the grass discharge from the
unit, but they should be replaced when conditions
change.
Scrapers (H) are supplied for use in conditions
where grass and mud build up on the rear roll
becomes excessive.
