DIFFERENTIAL LOCK FOOT SWITCH (A Fig.7)
The differential lock foot switch is situated on the left
hand foot plate.
When slipping of one drive wheel occurs, the
differential lock should be engaged by depressing
the foot switch.
To keep the differential lock engaged , the foot must
be kept on the switch. To disengage: Release the
pressure on the switch and the differential lock will
automatically disengage.
Safety: If, after engaging the differential lock, both
wheels start to slide, the differential lock should be
disengaged and the machine reversed out of the
difficult condition. Do not engage differential lock
unless wheel slip has occured.

SAFETY CATCHES (Fig.8 & 9)
When transporting, the safety catches should
always be engaged with the units raised. These
units can be hydraulically locked in any position by
releasing the lift control levers at the required
positions.
To secure the units in the transport position:
Raise the units fully and rotate the retaining hooks
(A Fig.8) so they trap the spigot on each lift arm.
The rear (centre) unit is held in the transport position
by a catch (A Fig.9) and should be pushed forward
after raising the unit.

HYDRAULIC LIFT LEVERS (Fig.10)
The hydraulic lift levers are situated on the operators
right hand side to the rear of the fuel tank.
The cutting units can be raised and lowered by the
three levers A, B and C, and can be operated as
follows:
Lever A controls Rear Unit No.1
Lever B controls R.H. Unit No.2
Lever C controls L.H. Unit No.3
NOTE: Check that the hydraulic drive lever is in
neutral position otherwise the cylinders will rotate as
the units are lowered.
To lift: Pull the lever(s) up and hold in position until
the units are at the required height.
To lower: Push the lever(s) fully down and release,
the units will lower to the ground level. DO NOT hold
lever in down position.
NOTE: The units will only lower when the engine is
running.
IMPORTANT: If, when cutting, a lift control lever is
accidently pulled up, the cutting units will not float
over undulations until the lever is pushed fully down
and allowed to return to neutral again.
