IMPORTANT NOTE: When cutting the engine
throttle control lever should always be set at the
"maximum" operating speed position.
This will ensure quiet operation, fuel economy,
minimum cylinder and bottom blade wear and the
cleanest cut in difficult conditions. If the engine
starts to labour, the forward speed of the machine
should be reduced by means of the footpedal.

The free wheel control (A Fig.20)is provided to allow
the machine to be moved when the engine is
stationary. The control is situated under the front
cover, and can be operated as follows:
a.
Free wheel position. The control lever should
be positioned so that it contacts the pin
towards the front of the machine.
b.
Drive position. After moving the machine the
control lever should be turned untill the lever
contacts the pin towards the rear of the
machine.
DO NOT exceed the following speeds and distance
when moving the machine in 'Free Wheel'.

DO NOT allow the machine to free wheel down
slopes even when unloading down ramps.
The machine can be moved without the use of
engine power as follows:
1.
Turn steering wheel so that the rear wheels
are in the straight position.
2.
Move parking brake lever to 'BRAKES OFF'
position.
3.
Move the brake release valve fully away
from the micro switch until the lever hits its
stop.
4.
Turn the steering wheel to the left, until
steering wheel feels heavy to turn.
DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE AT THE
STEERING WHEEL, IF REAR WHEELS MOVE
FROM THE STRAIGHT POSITION THEN
SUFFICIENT PRESSURE HAS BEEN APPLIED.
NEVER TRY TO RELEASE THE BRAKES AT FULL
LEFT HAND LOCK.
