There are three system monitoring LED's located
next to the key switch. If any one of them is
illuminated the engine will not start. They are as
follows:

Indicated by the seat decal. This LED will be
illuminated if the key switch is turned on and the
operator is not sitting on the seat.

Indicated by an 'N' inside a gear wheel decal. This
LED will be illuminated if the traction foot pedal is
not in its neutral position.

Indicated by a cutting cylinder and blade decal. This
LED will be illuminated if the cylinder drive lever is
not in its neutral position.

There are 5 warning lights and 1 blank red lens
located in the switch frame. They are as follows:

Colour red, on when ignition is switched on and will
go out once the engine has started. If the light
comes on while the engine is running, the fan belt
may be slipping or broken or a fault in the electrical
system is indicated and should be investigated.

Colour amber, on when the ignition switch is turned
clockwise to the pre-heat position. Once the lamp
goes out the engine can be started.

Colour red, on when ignition is switched on, and will
go out once the engine has started. If the light
comes on when the engine is running - STOP
IMMEDIATELY as this indicates that the oil pressure
is too low. Check the level of oil in the sump and if
necessary top up. Check oil pressure switch.
Continued operation may cause extensive damage
to the engine.

Colour red, This lamp will come on when the charge
filter becomes blocked and the bypass valve
operates. When this occurs the charge filter should
be changed as soon as possible to avoid damage to
the hydraulic system.
NOTE: Initial start in very cold conditions may result
in the warning lamp being on for a short time.
