set up for next Operation
To set up for the next operation, install a new Intermediary tube as described in Section 5 .2 .
warning! the inflow tubing (ref. 284508) can be left in place at the end of
the previous operation only with the intermediary tube with One-way valve
(ref. 281142 or 284649) attached. the inflow tubing without one-way valve must
be discarded at the end of the operation. reuse of the inflow tubing without
the one-way valve may cause cross-contamination leading to possible patient
infection.
warning! Carefully follow setup and changing procedures to ensure sterility.
the used One-way valve must remain attached to the inflow tubing, which
ensures luer connection sterility between procedures.

end of Operating day
At the end of the operating day, remove and discard all tubing according to approved hospital
procedures . Turn off the pump .
2 . Disconnect the blue luer-lock of the Inflow tube below the One-
Way Valve .
3 . Press the blue flOw+ button on the 5-Way Foot Pedal to empty
the patient joint (optional) .
4 . Rotate the Pinch Valve to the vertical position to release the tube .
5 . Remove the

1 . sterile OperatOr: Check that the luer-lock is properly
tightened, and pass the blue end to a non-sterile operator .
2 . nOn-sterile OperatOr: Disconnect the used One-Way Valve
and immediately connect the new Intermediary Tube with the
One-Way Valve .
