This device is an electronic equipment . It must not be disposed of as unsorted waste
and it must be collected separately according to applicable national and institutional
policies .
Separate plastics, metals, and electronics components to be recycled separately or
recycle the plastics and metals at a single stream recycling facility . The FMS VUE II
contains electronic printed circuit board assemblies as well as a Lithium based non-
rechargeable coin cell battery located on the main circuit board as depicted in the
figure below .

disconnecting power cord.
Dispose of any system accessories according to institutional procedures for potentially
contaminated items .
At the end of the useful life of the equipment, remove the battery from the main circuit board
and dispose of the battery at the local battery recycling center . In addition, remove the
electronic printed circuit board assemblies and dispose of them at the local electronic recycling
facility . Metals and plastics can be recycled together at a single stream recycling facility or
separated to be recycled individually . Contact your DePuy Synthes Sales Representative for
