• Remove the battery to be charged out of the model. Before charging, disconnect the battery completely from the
speed controller.
• Place the charger and battery on a heat-resistant, non-combustible surface.
• Charger and battery will heat up during charging. Therefore, keep sufficient distance between the charger and the
battery; never place the battery on the charger. Never cover the charger or the battery. Do not expose charger and
batteries to high/low temperatures and direct sunlight.
• Never charge the batteries unattended.
• Charge the batterys regularly (about every 2 - 3 months), since otherwise, a deep discharge of the battery may occur
sue to self-discharge. As a result, the batteries will become unusable!
NiMH batteries (except special types with low self-discharge) lose their energy within a few weeks.
LiPo batteries retain their power normally for several months, but may get permanently damaged due to deep
discharge and cannot be used any longer.
• Never use a charging current that is too high; observe the manufacturer's information about the ideal or maximum
charging current.
• Disconnect the battery from the charger when it is fully charged.
• Chargers and batteries must not get damp or wet. There is risk of a fatal electric shock, and also the risk of fire and
explosion posed by the battery!
Attention!
Especially the batterys with lithium technology (e.g. LiPo batteries) are very sensitive to the moisture due to
the chemicals contained therein!
