Troubleshooting
Electrical
Symptom: Sprayer does not run or stops running. Run
through the pressure relief procedure; see page 7.
•
Insert the mains plug into an earthed outlet with the
correct voltage values
•
•
Set power switch OFF for 30 seconds and then ON
again. This ensures sprayer is in normal run mode.
•
•
Turn pressure control knob clockwise 1/2 turn
•
•
View digital display
Cause
1.
Air in fluid pump or hose
2.
Inlet valve is leaking
3.
Packing seals are worn
4.
Paint is too viscous
Cause
1.
Display is damaged or has a
faulty connection
Remedy
1.
Check and tighten all threaded connections. Reduce the
motor speed via the potentiometer and operate the pump
as slowly as possible during the suction process.
2.
Clean the inlet valve. Make sure the ball seat is not
nicked or worn and that the ball is properly seated. Reas-
semble the valve.
3.
Replace.
4.
Thin the paint according to the manufacturer's recom-
mendations.
Remedy
1.
Check the connections. Replace the display.
In order to avoid electric shock and hazards caused by
moving parts when covers are removed for trouble-
shooting, wait 30 seconds after unplugging the power
cable for stored electricity to dissipate. Maintain a safe
distance between electrical and moving parts during trou-
bleshooting procedures.
If no digital display is available, use the control board sta-
tus light to remedy any problems: Set the ON/OFF switch
to OFF, remove the control board cover and then set the
switch back to ON. Observe the status light. The number
of times the light flashes corresponds to the digital error
code, i.e. two flashes equals E = 02.
