Troubleshooting
Mechanics / paint stage
Fault
Pump output is low
Fault
Excessive paint leakage
into packing nut
Fault
Material pulsates from
the gun
Cause
14.
O-ring in pump is worn or
damaged
15.
Material residues on the inlet
valve ball
16.
Pressure set too low
17.
Large pressure drop in hose
with heavy materials
Cause
1.
Packing nut loose
2.
The packing seals are worn
or damaged
3.
The piston rod is worn or
damaged
Cause
1.
Air in the device or hose
2.
Nozzle is partially clogged
3.
Content of material container
is low or empty
Remedy
14.
Replace O-ring.
15.
Clean inlet valve.
16.
Increase pressure.
17.
Use a larger diameter hose and/or reduce the overall
length of the hose. A hose exceeding 30 m in length with
a ¼" diameter significantly reduces the performance of
the sprayer. Use a 3/8" hose for optimum performance
(minimum length of 15 m).
Remedy
1.
Remove the spacer of the packing seal. Tighten the
packing nut to stop the leakage.
2.
Replace seals.
3.
Replace rod.
Remedy
1.
Check all fittings for leaks and tighten if necessary. Red-
uce the motor speed via the potentiometer and operate
the pump as slowly as possible during the suction pro-
cess.
2.
Clean nozzle.
3.
Refill the material container. Operate the pump; check
the material container frequently to prevent the pump
from running dry.
