When a recording is made, anything on the tape is automatically erased
before the new material is recorded.
To erase previously recorded material
and
record
new
information
simultaneously,
simply
follow
the normal
recording method.
PHONES
To erase a recorded tape without making a new recording:

Slide the REC LEVEL controls to "MIN".

Push
the RECORD

button.
This will begin erasing the tape.
When
the end of tape is reached, the deck will return to its neutral
operating mode {Auto stop},

The APSS
will function
only if the tape has a minimum
of three second
gaps between recorded programmes.
Most commercially recorded cassette tapes are recorded according to these
requirements; home recorded tapes may require editing.

Slide the REC LEVEL controls to "MIN".
Push the PAUSE

) button again to start the tape.
