4. Press the button I (F) to switch to standby mode.
If you activate the target laser via settings menu, it will
also remain turned on during normal measurement
mode. In such a case you cannot turn off the target laser
during normal measurement mode.
If you deactivate the target laser via settings menu, you
may still use it during normal measurement mode. In
such a case though, the laser will be deactivated after
each measurement as usual.

23. Measurement reference

Press the measurement reference button (D), in order to change the
measurement reference. The following measurement references are
available:
• Starting point: Back of the device
• The device length is included in the measurement.
• Starting point: Tripod socket
• The reading includes the distance from the front of the
device to the tripod socket.
• Starting point: Front of the device

24. Background light

To turn the background light on or off, press and hold the light button (I)
for approx. 2 seconds.
