Safety precautions
Cassette compartment door
When the product is removed from its packing box, the cassette compartment door may be ajar. If this is the
case, it means that the safety device designed to protect the VTR from vibration while in transit has been
activated: this condition is therefore not indicative of a malfunction.
The door will return to its proper position
when the power cord is connected to the power outlet.
Avoid sudden temperature changes!
Suddenly moving the VTR from a warm location to a cold place will cause moisture to form on the tape and
inside the VTR. The condensation display lamp "1" will flash, and the VTR will stop operating.
Avoid high-temperature locations!
Avoid placing the unit in a location where it will be directty exposed to extreme heat such as sunlight or a heating
appliance or inside a completely sealed car or other vehicle.
Do not bring magnetic objects near the unit!
Do not bring magnets or magnetized objects near the VTR since they may impair the VTR's performance.
Do not poke your fingers or other objects inside!
It is extremely dangerous to touch any of the parts inside the VTR. Such action can cause a serious breakdown.
Also, never attempt to disassemble the VTR.
Do
not use
devices
which
may
generate
electromagnetic
interference
such
as
transceivers and mobile phones near the VTR.
