Audio dubbing using the VTR unit
controls
Background music, narration or other new sound can
be recorded onto the normal audio track of a pre-
recorded tape.
Preparations:
€ Connect the component which is to supply the
sound.
e Select the applicable input connectors.
e Insert the cassette tape on which the audio dubbing
sound is to be recorded into the VTR unit.

Connect to a stereo amplifier, etc.
Operation:
1. Press the PLAY button to locate the start position
where the new sound is to be recorded.
2. Press the PAUSE/STILL button at the recording
start position.
3. Press the AUDIO DUB button.

4. Press the PAUSE/STILL button to start recording.
5. Press the STOP button to stop recording.

Note:
The
new
sound
will be recorded
onto the tape's
normal audio track, and the original sound will remain
on the Hi-Fi audio tracks.
The sound recorded by
audio dubbing is monaural.
€ To listen to the sound recorded by audio dubbing,
press the AUDIO OUT button to select the normal
audio track.
e To listen to the original sound, select the Hi-Fi
audio tracks.
e To listen to the original sound and the sound added
by audio dubbing, set the Hi-Fi/LINEAR MIX switch
to ON.
e When inputting the sound to [L/CH1] and [R/CH2],
set the LINEAR AUDIO REC switch to L+R; when
inputting the sound to LINEAR, set the switch to
LINEAR.
