Automatic functions
OTR (one-touch timer recording)
OTR is a function for recording input signals for up to
a 24-hour period.
Preparations:
e Insert
a cassette
with
prevention tab intact.
its accidental
erasure
(If a cassette tape has
already been inserted, press the POWER button to
turn on the unit's power.)
e Select 2H (standard mode) or 6H (triple mode) as
the desired speed using the RECORDING
2H/6H
button.

OTR procedure:
The time display changes in 1-minute increments
when the ONE-TOUCH TIMER REC ON [+/-] buttons
or OFF [+/—] buttons are pressed.
When the buttons
are held down, the time display changes in 10-minute
increments.

1. Press the ONE-TOUCH TIMER REC ON [+] or [-]
button to set the OTR start time.
Omit this step if OTR is to be started immediately.

"Ei" flashes and an alarm sounds to announce
that recording is not possible.
2. Press the ONE-TOUCH TIMER REC OFF [+] or
[-] button to set the OTR end time.
e |f, once the OTR start time has been set, the
ONE-TOUCH
TIMER
REC

[+] or [-]
button is not pressed within 8 seconds to set the
OTR end time, the start time will be cleared and
the normal display restored.
When OTR is completed, the power is automatically
turned off.
Notes:
e Press the POWER button to suspend OTR.
€ The OTR start or end time can be changed before
recording starts.
e The
OTR
end
time
can
be
changed
during
recording.
e Do
not
allow
the OTR
function
to overlap
a
programmed timer recording.
OTR always takes
precedence over a timer recording.
€ The OTR setting times cannot be checked.
ө Once OTR has been set, the present time cannot
be checked.
