Electric wire rope winch BETA 2.1 EL
English
Pfaff-silberblau contactor control is designed for:
Winches with 1 wire rope speed and AC connection
f=50 Hz: 400 V
f=60 Hz: 460 V (wire rope speed increased by factor 1,20)
Type of protection IP55
Operating voltage 42V; 50/60Hz
For supply of the control current circuit, a transformer with galvanic separation must be used (pro-
vided in Pfaff-silberblau controls).
In any case, an easily accessible emergency stop push-button (switch) has to be provided. (pro-
vided in Pfaff-silberblau controls, different designs)
4.5 Project Planning Help for Control Construction
For delivery of a rope winch without electronic control (without electronic overload pro-
tection)
The electronic control is developed and produced by the operator under his responsibility. This makes
the producer of the electronics control the overall lifting gear producer according to the European Ma-
chinery Directive.
To keep the lag of load as low as possible when lowering it, the connection of the solenoid magnet disc
brake MUST be interrupted on the direct-current side when the motor is shut down!
The deactivation time at direct-current side interruption by the switching contactor of the motor is about
1/3 of the deactivation time at alternating-current side interruption. This means that the braking distance
for stopping of the load is much shorter at interruption of the brake control by the respective switching
contactor on the direct-current side than in case of alternating current deactivation!
Connection of the brake rectifier for direct-current side deactivation of the brake
(short braking distance)

Remove jumper A at the brake rec-
tifier during commissioning!
For more information on the setup of the electric control, see circuit diagram in the
operating instructions! Observe the included operating instructions!
4.6 Emergency-stop switch
An emergency shut-off switch must be located at each control point and must be quickly and easily ac-
cessible. Where necessary, there must also be an additional device for emergency stop, like f. e around
an unprotected winch.
4.7 Main switch
For design with direct control a main switch must be provided on site. In contactor control a main
switch is included.
